Why does every feminist say Dany had a moral base... Throughout her story. Like.. No?
She was blinded by entitlement to the throne since the beginning, they has always leaned towards violence to solve her issues as well.
She hasn't shown much mercy throughout the show either, and then moral decisions she has made have been from her advisers...
Advisers that are no longer alive or trusted... So her reverting back to her violent ways makes complete sense.

Lets not forget that she lost more than most people ever would or have in life. That very often leads to mental issues in real life, why not here?

It actually fits in with her character arc. For most of the show, Dany believed that she could earn the people's respect. Then she realized that the people will never love her, and her only choice is to rule by fear.

Oh my god big beard muscular guy, shut up about the mad queen stuff! Danny before that episode had done nothing wrong. Saying I told you so, doesn't make you smart. You were just able to read theories online/ leaked storyline/ read the mind of some terrible writers. You knew she was gonna turn mad for meta reasons. The show never showed that she was mad before this episode, so you were 100% wrong to say I told you so.

Imagine if instead of this we had final mind game from Cercei: she takes civilians into buildings with wild fire and hand on trigger ready to blow it up if Dany was getting any closer with her army and Dany had to use sneaky methods to get in without noticing or we could use Tyrion's strategic mind. :D But that requires that Dany actually cared about people...

I was not at all surprised about deanerarys ending. She’s always been a violent unstable character. Form the begging episode 1. Walking into boiling water. Every decision she has made without interference from her advisors has been murder and chaos and every time her advisors have gave her advice it is always the opposite of her murder and chaos original plan. She’s always been a mad queen. Who falls in love with a murderous, rapist in the first place.

As for Cersei and Jaimie's death, they ruined it because they took a prophecy out of the show that's in the book.

And YES Pat is right, there was many hints. I'm gonna give you this that the writers should've fleshed it out more. But that's because the writers D&D wanted to leave and do something with Star Wars.

Aegon was good? Aegon conquered the Seven Kingdoms that Danny's bitch ass keeps talking about how "They usurped ma right". The bitch ass Targaryians are the biggest usurpers. And a bunch of insane lunatics. And they started inbreeding because they didn't want to ruin their "blood".

Danny had a tyrannical and wishy washy side to her from the beginning. She has been screaming about making every one bend the knee no matter what because she "Deserves to rule/is destined to rule". Because she is a Targaryan. Because she is the mother of dragons. But you guys are surprised? Are you kidding me?

Btw, I laughed when I saw the comments trashing Pat in that one episodes comment section when he compared Cersei and Danny. He was ABSOLUTELY right. When she burned the Tarly's, it showed how she was becoming a tyrant. She didn't have to burn the son as well. Just like Tyrion had suggested, she could've imprisoned the son and burned the father.

And telling Sansa to shut up. Lol have you guys been paying any attention to the "Game of thrones" and Sansa's character arc. She was supposed to know right from wrong when it comes to politics. She was supposed to know who she can trust and who she can't.

Anyone that has read the books from book 1 to 5. Anyone that has watched the show from season 1 to 8; How the FUCK did you not see this coming? Danny has been foreshadowed to be the Mad Queen from the beginning. No, her "Character arc" wasn't ruined. It was foreshadowed from book 1.

Danny is the ONLY character that kept talking about how the Seven Kingdoms are "hers". It belongs to her because she was born for it. She kept talking about breaking the chain but she was the epitome of the chain. She claimed ownership of kingdoms that HER family usurped 300 years ago. But she is mad because others rebelled against her mad father who she admits was mad? She has been blood thirsty and emotional from the beginning. She had a tyrannical side to her from the beginning. That WAS her character arc.

Not to be confused with all the good she did. She did do good. She did have good intentions. But that is the point. People do horrible things in the name of good. Hitler thought he was doing good as well. Hitler also brought back Germany's economy from the brinks of hell. But he was a tyrant regardless. The fact that you guys became such fans that you couldn't even see this is quite ridiculous. And I mean what exactly did you think was going to happen? Danny comes, makes a clean kill, breaks the chain and lives happily ever after? I mean c'mon. I will agree however that this season didn't do the transition justice. It was only 6 episodes. It should've been 2 seasons. And if not, then at least 12 episodes.

Things happened too quickly. There was no build up, suspense or surprise. Things happened in rapid fire sequence in succession. At least 6 episodes should've went into building up the war with the Whitewalkers and the tensions between some of the characters like Sansa and Danny. And then another 6 episodes left for Cersei.

Y’all are asking “you did you throw all her values away” as if Danny hasn’t been a vengeful unforgiving character this whole time. She’s had an admirable goal but she doesn’t have the right attitude to be a leader. She can’t even take criticism without getting defensive or threatening someone/ questioning loyalty and she feels so entitled to success that every time something goes wrong for her as a leader she doesn’t take any responsibility. She blames it on her advisors who plan everything for her as if she can’t think for herself. She even has a list of useless nicknames to make her sound important. Jon is a leader who really fought and worked his way up got betrayed and slandered multiple times, murdered and still came out a good person. Danny is just to mentally weak to have that much power.

The funny thing is that the dumbass GoT fanboys say that people think s8 sucked because the show didn’t end how they wanted to when really I wouldn’t mind if Dany killed Tyrion Jon Sansa Arya and everyone else on the show we like, as long as she did it for a reason that made sense and her transition from good to evil was done well. This was just hot ass from D&D, some of the worst writing I’ve ever seen. Character arc after character arc destroyed or not completed. Nothing but visuals and fan service. Agree with most of you.

How utterly insane and delusional someone would have to be to attempt to defend blatant, senseless, garbage character assassination...can't paste all my essays from Blogspot/Disqus (SassySaluki), but they're there to explain. -_-
If Dany displayed "potential signs of potential madness," so did half of them. But no. Nothing she's done in the past is any sort of indication of eventually going off the deep end like that. They Old-Yellered an exceptional character in two lame eps. Must have mixed up her and Cersei (in multiple ways.) The only thing really predictive of "Mad Queendom" was knowing who her father was, and ofc those pesky unstable incest genes. Sucks she couldn't avoid them despite making the best possible efforts. "Making it personal" (wtf) is a pitiful non-explanation. Dany took her hard-won prize flawlessly, with fire and blood...then immediately proceeded to pointlessly throw it away and betray her entire philosophy? Right-minded, in-possession-of-her-marbles Dany would never.

It was nice to look and see my reactions to each episode plastered everywhere, showing that fans are discerning and don't just lap up lacking or unworthy material because the logo was slapped on it.

I can’t believe nobody even pointed this out, but secretly she knew that she had to use fear to her advantage. She became paranoid yes with everyone she trusted betraying her and her losing a lot of people like Jorah, and Missiandrei, but she was POWER HUNGRY too. She knew that she had to use fear to get what she wanted. After they “won” when the bells rang, she feared that Jon was gonna become king even though he said “he didn’t want it” but like Varys and others have said throughout the series, sometimes it’s not a choice. The people decide, and she really thought more people liked Jon. She had no idea if he would want it after or not especially when he kinda rejected her after their last kiss. Also didn’t know who all knew about Jon’s true identity. So I think it was a combination of that and her remembering what Cersei and everyone before her took away from her and her family when she looked at the Red Keep. She believed it to be personal, and it was in a way. She even said that mercy is that future generations won’t be ruled by a tyrant, but she didn’t realize in the moment that she was a tyrant too. But we’ve always known her to be power hungry, and after Jon betrayed her, all she wanted was the throne and she would do anything to do it. Maybe she even secretly hoped she’d “accidentally” burn and kill Jon Snow on the ground. She was by no means perfect in the series, so it makes sense that her arc went this way. But I do agree with most, it felt rushed and it was unexplained so I didn’t like that aspect. I just think it would’ve been beneficial if s7 and s8 stayed with the full 10 episodes. But D&D wanted to get the series done, a shame. I actually really liked the first 4 episodes of this season too, but this twist came out of nowhere and felt rushed, even though it makes sense. Also I don’t like how easy it was for Dany and “the good guys” to win. I wish Cersei had more of a plan, or that they showed more of a struggle with the soldiers on the ground/ the scorpions against the dragon. It was not a battle, more of a massacre. And that’s the reason why it got boring in a way at some point just watching her burn the city with ease. But there were some good parts between characters this episode. The right and sensical ending just felt wrong, because of the bad writing in a limited number of episodes. We needed more eps to fully grasp character decisions. 7/10

                                                                      • Pierce Mercier

This to her made her think that Jon may not be entirely loyal to her. And I mean he did tell his family about him being Targaryen even when she begged him not to. Along with Tyrion. So it’s definitely not out of character. A lot of fans saw her as the good guy, even though there was nothing there that entirely suggested that. Why wouldn’t you root for the woman who was the mother of dragons? It’s just the way the show rushed and portrayed it. Bad writing. We needed a couple more episodes of “betraying the queen” and seeing her react to it.

If you make Dany the mad queen, okay, but at least build up to it correctly. Even Grey Worm, his whole arc was about not being a slave yet he's following Danaerys' orders to kill innocent people, something I'm sure he or at least Missandei would reject. After everything they've been through, it's still just "Jaime and Cersei".

Like Danaerys he conquered, he took what wasn't his but he decided that it should be his and that he would be best suited to rule and went about obtaining Westeros with Fire and Blood....you guys think he didn't kill thousands of innocent people so that the whole of Westeros would bend to his will? Danaerys was just following his path...she wasn't giving the people a choice to have a ruler or be free, it was her or it was death and this act after the bells rung was to drive that point home. She was convinced the people in Westeros wouldn't love her and she needed to send a message to bring them to their knees. Had Jorah or Missandei lived she might've chosen a different path but they didn't.

This was them taking advantage of the opportunity to let out all their pent up frustrations, as pretty much any soldier would do.
